Combined heat and power (CHP) equipment manufacturer ENER-G has opened a new factory in Greater Manchester following increased demand for its central heating systems.
The new manufacturing space will allow the firm to increase production of
CHP equipment and biogas energy generators by 50 per cent.
ENER-G has also announced plans to add to its existing
installation and maintenance team to meet demand from global customers.
This latest manufacturing site, adjacent to the company's second factory in Salford, takes total floor space to 34,000 sq ft.
Derek Duffill, group managing director, said: "ENER-G is a fine example of UK engineering and technological excellence.
"Our innovative products and services are in demand across the globe fuelling our ongoing growth and reflected in our turnover of £90 million which has grown four-fold over the past six years."
CHP systems create heat and electricity at the same time and can cut carbon emissions by 20 per cent, while also leading to a decrease in energy bills.
Products created by ENR-G are used in Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
